Gert's First Online Media Buy

Maxim Online, the web arm of the number one selling men's lifestyle magazine, today announced it will launch Columbia Sportswear's first-ever online advertising campaign. Maxim Online will be streaming video of two Columbia Sportswear commercials on its site through the end of the year. The commercials are a continuation of Columbia Sportswear's latest "Mother Gert Boyle" campaign, focusing on the durability of Columbia Sportswear's products with a humorous twist. The campaign is used as a vehicle to communicate an un-compromised, no-nonsense approach to making outerwear. In the absence of online creative by Columbia Sportswear, Maxim Online was closely involved in converting the commercials into pop-up streaming video for its site. In addition, supporting the commercials will be targeted banners and buttons. Phase2Media, Maxim Online's exclusive advertising firm, brokered the sponsorship.
