The NBA and Timberland Launch Community Service Effort

The National Basketball Association and The Timberland Company are launching a corporate goodwill partnership around community service. The effort starts in Philadelphia, Pa., and will continue this February with a service project in Dallas as part of NBA All-Star 2010. The NBA and The Timberland Company will join City Year, the Philadelphia 76ers, and local retailer VILLA today for a day of service and school renovations at West Philadelphia High School. This February, during NBA All-Star 2010, Timberland and the NBA will work with nonprofit organization Rebuilding Together to build homes for several Dallas-area families. --Karl Greenberg
