Former 'Washington Times' Editor Sues Paper, Church

  • December 10, 2009
The former opinion editor of The Washington Times has sued the paper, claiming that newspaper executives there pressured him to attend a Unification Church event and harassed him when he refused to sign a fraudulent document, reports the AP. Richard Miniter's lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Washington seeks unspecified damages and alleges breach of contract, naming the Unification Church and its leader, the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, as defendants. The WT denies the claim.

At least with blogs and Twitter, DC will be getting a wide range of opinion slipped into news.
