(Variety) - A revamped version of the "Pyramid" game show, hosted by Donny Osmond, has landed its first station deal, with KRON San Francisco.
"Pyramid" (distributor Columbia TriStar TV Distribution
isn't calling it "The $25,000 Pyramid" because the exact amount of the top prize is still to be determined) will bow in fall 2002, and KRON has agreed to run it twice each weekday.
A Columbia
TriStar spokeswoman said the distributor will announce more station deals soon. A syndicated show generally requires clearances in the top three markets -- New York, Los Angeles and Chicago -- before
it can be considered a "go" project.
