212% as thousands of Web surfers flooded the site for the latest news and information on the winning numbers for the 141 million dollar jackpot, announced on Saturday, June 23rd.
Traffic to the
official site for the California state lottery skyrocketed to 446,000 unique visitors, from 143,000 surfers the previous week, reaching record traffic levels for this year.
Males comprised the
majority of the audience traffic to CALottery.com, accounting for 57% of the site's visitors, while females comprised 43%. Surfers spent more than seven minutes on the site, with 66% accessing the
page featuring the winning lottery numbers.
