The Whataburger Restaurants chain is offering a grilled chicken melt sandwich between now and April 12.
The sandwich consists of a grilled chicken breast topped with a mix of green and red
bell peppers and onions and a slice of Monterrey Jack Cheese, served on a whole wheat bun.
Also new on the menu is a side salad as a substitute option for French fries, for an additional charge.
The salad is about half the size of Whataburger's current garden salad, and is a mix of romaine and iceberg lettuce, grape tomatoes, carrots, croutons and choice of salad dressing.
Whataburger,
founded in 1950, specializes in fresh, made-to-order burgers. Headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, the company has more than 700 locations in 10 states, and annual sales of more than $1
billion.--Karlene Lukovitz
