MTV is developing a new blog aimed at the coveted young male demographic, though the name of the blog and its launch date is under wraps. The site is expected to include sports, pop culture, gadgets,
entertainment and sex. MTV is going for an irreverent voice with the new blog.
The move by MTV.com comes as sister network MTV 2 hopes to capture more of a young male audience with
dedicated programming. MTV does, however, face many rives for the dude-targeted media. There are digital offshoots of "Maxim," while AOL has built a similarly themed male blog.
