NYTimes Launches Site for Advertisers

  • August 7, 2001
The New York Times has launched a state-of-the-art business-to-business website at http://www.nytadvertising.nytimes.com.

The site allows advertising clients to manage their accounts with The Times online, enabling them to place reservations, submit new creative material, view upcoming or past schedules and access media kits from their desktops. Company officials claim this site is the most comprehensive Web-based system for display advertisers and agencies in the newspaper industry.

The site offers both public information and a private, password-protected extranet for confidential account information. The secure extranet allows authorized advertisers to access The Times's advertising system for reservations, pricing and schedules.

The Times will begin training advertisers on the system in coming weeks. Account representatives may then use the Web site's services or continue to rely on The New York Times Customer Order Fulfillment Department for service by phone, fax or email.
