FHM is now distinguished as the fastest growing magazine in the United States. According to its first half 2001 publisher's statement filed with the Audit Bureau of Circulations, subject to audit, FHM
's total paid circulation is 821,834. This figure represents a 105% increase over the same period last year, more than double its closest competitor in terms of total overall circulation growth among
all titles on the just released ABC FASFAX. In less than one year since assuming a monthly frequency, FHM has achieved a total circulation that is larger than men's magazine category competitors Men's
Fitness (522,675), Men's Journal (635,235), Outside (664,590), Esquire (672,700) and GQ (806,911). FHM launched in March 2000 as a bimonthly and assumed a monthly frequency in September 2000. FHM
filed 454,337 in total single copy sales, representing a 28% increase over the same period last year, the largest newsstand gain posted within the men's magazine category. FHM filed 367,497 in
individual subscriptions, a 690% increase over the same period last year. In addition, the magazine delivered a rate base bonus of 71,834.
