The Economist magazine is on a roll. Having recently redesigned the publication, and launched a global multimedia ad campaign, the magazine is enjoying record circulation growth. The January-June 2001
ABC statement reflects an average of 355,183 copies - a 6.6% improvement on the January-June 2000 statement, company officials reported yesterday. Newsstand sales are up by 10.9%, and, for the first
time, have surpassed Business Week's sales on the newsstand. Capell's Top Ten Circulation Report in 2000 included The Economist for an unprecedented eighth time and noted that the magazine has the
highest average annualized subscription price of any consumer magazine in the USA at $105.00.
