Shelby Bonnie, the company's chairman and CEO, said in a press release that ending its TV production efforts was part of a move to focus on content "most closely aligned" with CNET's growth plans. He said that means broadband video and audio content.
CNET said it would also continue to offer audio-only technology news content to traditional-broadcast radio stations, adding that current customers include Radio AM 910 in San Francisco/San Jose and XM Satellite Radio.
