i7 Interactive, Inc., an e-Marketing and Internet Infrastructure solutions firm today called on fellow web publishers to utilize their existing traffic to direct visitors to the Red Cross or
Helping.org websites. The Company developed two banners and started emailing them to various websites late Tuesday night (9/11/01).
The original email asked web publishers to throw up the attached
banners if they had any excess inventory. The email also asked the recipients to pass it along to other web publishers. The entire campaign started with 10 emails. Almost immediately, the Company
began to receive email confirmations and commitments from all over the Web. Classmates.com and ThirdAge.com were the first to respond. Goto.com has pulled down all of their existining banners and
replaced them with the i7 Red Cross banners, accounting for millions of impressions for Helping.org.
The small Company of 15 employees is amazed by how quickly and how willingly the Internet
Community has responded.
John Park, CEO of i7 Interactive, Inc. commented, “I am absolutely amazed at how quickly this has spread. My fellow Internet colleagues who have answered our call also
more than overwhelm me. As everyone knows the Internet Industry has been hit hard in the past year and for the people of this Industry to sacrifice their advertising traffic without any hesitation is
remarkable. I am just overwhelmed and so proud today to be a member of this Industry. I would like to thank everyone that is participating in this group effort. Our medium is the most powerful tool we
have to help the victims of this horrific act of violence.”
The company predicts that as of Thursday morning, the participating websites are generating tens of millions of ad impressions on behalf
of the Red Cross and Helping.Org. Information about the campaign and banners can be obtained at www.i7Interactive.com or by calling John Park at 310-540-6001
