Even during such trying times there were some ad campaign and website launches, and while they may not be at the forefront of your mind, we bring them to you, much like this entire newsletter in an effort to get us started on rebuilding our businesses.

In celebration of HBO's "Band of Brothers," the story of the men of Easy Company and their journey from everyday Americans to World War II heroes, Jeep will support a multimedia campaign to honor the shared values, heritage and spirit of "Band of Brothers" and the Jeep brand. This begins a series of 60th anniversary celebrations that the Jeep brand will be organizing to honor the men and women of WWII and commemorate their contributions for the cause of freedom. Launching this celebration is a series of tribute spots produced by "Band of Brothers" episode director and co-executive producer, Tony To, in collaboration with Jeep and Arnell Group. Shot in Normandy, where Easy Company landed on D-Day 57 years ago, the spots celebrate the men's legacy and recognize Jeep's role in that historic landing.

Ethan Allen Inc., is sending consumers a new message with its latest television commercial: stylish furniture at an affordable price. Titled "For Life," the spot illustrates the style and affordability message with a montage of Ethan Allen products from living rooms to dining rooms to bedrooms. As images of these rooms appear, the voiceover describes the daily activities that occur on the furniture in those areas of the home. Three specific products are highlighted for their appealing price points. "You play on it. Spend all day on it." Ethan Allen's Horizons bed for $949 appeals to a younger, more contemporary consumer. "You watch TV on it, snooze on it, read on it." The Tribeca sofa is available for $1349. "You use it. Entertain on it." For a more traditional consumer, the British Classics dining room table is offered for $1349. The spot ends with the tagline "Ethan Allen. Furniture built for your life.....at a price you can actually live with."

An animal rights group that got in hot water for planning ads that appeared to defend shark attacks has launched a new campaign that suggests people should eat whales. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) unveiled a billboard in downtown Vancouver last week that pictures a cartoon chicken and cow painting the sign with the message; "Eat the Whales." The group said it opposes whale hunting but wanted to draw attention to the fact that many people get upset at the idea of killing whales but do not object to eating meat from chickens, cows and other land animals.
