Fox Ditches Digital

Fox has shelved plans to launch a Fox Classics 24-hour digital network, whose programming was to consist of series reruns and movies from the 20th Century Fox library. Citing a sluggish economy, Fox Cable Networks Group president/CEO Jeff Shell said there's very little demand among cable operators right now for a new network. The News Corp.-owned group's businesses include the FX and Fox Movie Classics channels.
