Bona Fide Classifieds

  • October 2, 2001
Thanks to an agreement between the Newspaper Association of America (NAA) and AdStar, an application service provider for the classified-advertising industry, newspapers participating in the Bona Fide Classified online program will be able to receive print and online classified ads via the web. As part of the agreement, AdStar will private-label its classified-ad portal, Advertise123.com, for NAA's Classified Federation. The portal will operate under the name Bona Fide Classified Advertising Network and initially will feature more than 100 newspaper destinations currently supported by AdStar. NAA-member newspapers participating in the Bona Fide Classified program can join the network for a nominal, one-time set-up fee. The anticipated launch date of the service is Nov. 1, 2001. -- Adam Bernard
