The New Haiku -- 2010 Edition

Anytime I find myself in a pinch for column fodder, I know I can always fall back on a little Search Haiku.
It's not as exciting as covering the search news blotter, but hopefully it will still be as entertaining for you.
So here is a fresh new installment of rhymes, adding to my collection from '06 and '09.
I decided to go with a theme this time, and also added in a display URL line.
Oh boy, enjoy!

    Entertaining read
Makes a lot of sense to me
    But it's not haiku.

That last comment would have been funnier if the system had maintained my line breaks!

  3. Jim Quinlivan from Strata-G Communications, July 28, 2010 at 11:24 a.m.

Not haiku. Try: 17 words, in lines of 5, 7, 5.

Terrific ! Haiku, Seek a cue, whatever. Very entertaining and true.

Jeff and Jim - Aaron is writng "Google Haiku" - the PPC ad format. I guess it is kind of an inside joke.

    Sorry, those are not haiku
But they are funny just the same
    I'm jealous of your talent.

Oh, how you make me laugh! Love this and sooooo looking forward to your book in less than a month!

Thanks for the comments all. As Rob points out, "New" Haiku was a nod to writing prose within the limitations of Google's ad specs. Termed it Haiku 2.0 in last year's edition but that apparently wasn't much clearer. Suppose Google Haiku is the way to go for the '11 batch.

    A new Haiku view
    For Search Marketers who do
    Social media too.
