AOL Extends Alliance With D-Link

  • July 14, 2004
America Online on Wednesday said it has extended an alliance with D-Link that will enable the interactive media company's AOL for Broadband programming to be delivered beyond the PC. AOL and D-Link, a connectivity provider, said that the D-Link MediaLounge DSM-320 Wireless Media Player now features access to Radio@AOL. The alliance will also explore other means of bringing AOL's content and services to consumers on an on-demand basis. The DSM-320 MediaLounge allows consumers with a high speed Internet connection and a home entertainment network to access Radio@AOL's more than 175 originally programmed, CD-quality radio stations directly on their home entertainment system without actually being logged on to the Internet via their PC or the AOL for Broadband service. The D-Link DSM-320 also streams digital music, photo and video files from any PC on the network to the TV or stereo(s) via a wired or wireless connection.
