Survey Says Americans Are Ditching Low-Carb Diets

Insight Express on Wednesday revealed survey findings that Americans are abandoning low-carb diets in droves. An online poll of more than 500 Americans revealed that more than half of all U.S. consumers who have tried following low-carb diets have given up. According to the survey, fewer than 10 percent of Americans are currently on low-carbohydrate diets such as the Atkins, South Beach and The Zone. Furthermore, fewer than one in five would consider buying a low-carb product because they consider low-carb diets to be unhealthy. Last December, Opinion Dynamics Corp. found that 11 percent of Americans were on low-carb diets.
