New Campaign Targeting Teens

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) announced that Clarity Coverdale Fury, Minneapolis, in cooperation with The Nixon Group, Miami, will produce a new youth marketing campaign for Target Market. Target Market is Minnesota's statewide, youth-led, adult-guided tobacco control movement for teens, ages 12- to 17-years. The organization was founded to provide teens with the facts and information to make an informed decision about tobacco use. The new $6 million to $7 million annual program will enhance the grassroots marketing efforts that allow teens to target big tobacco. New initiatives will use advertising, public relations, youth education, advocacy and interactive initiatives to get more teenagers involved in the movement.
