Deutsche Telekom's CEO, Rene Obermann, in part blamed T-Mobile USA's lack of the Apple iPhone for its difficulty in keeping contract customers in the U.S., Archibald Preuschat reports.
"Consumers like T-Mobile but they also want to have the iPhone," which T-Mobile USA has no chance of getting in the short term, Obermann told analysts in Duesseldorf yesterday in explaining why the
company had difficulty in turning around it struggling business here last quarter. Obermann also said he will present a new strategy early next year together with Philipp Humm, who became T-Mobile
USA's CEO this week.
