Nielsen Media Research will expand its Hispanic service to two local markets -- Austin, Texas, and Tucson, Ariz. -- in February 2003. This will bring Nielsen's local Hispanic service, called Nielsen
Hispanic Station Index into 18 television markets. Tucson and Austin clients will receive local ratings books for each of the four measurement months, February, May, July and November. All ratings
estimates will be derived from diaries completed by randomly selected Hispanic homes. NHSI samples consist of both Spanish- and English-speaking Hispanic television homes and are separate from
Nielsen's general market samples in the same markets.
