Evening at Pops, the long-running concert series, will return to PBS at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 6, with a lineup that this season will include Broadway to bluegrass. Guests include Nancy Wilson and Ricky Skaggs. The season kicks off with a tribute to Broadway composer Jerry Herman, who joins the Boston Pops as they perform songs from his musicals that include Helly, Dolly!, La Gage aux Folles and Mame. The second episode features an evening of bluegrass with Grammy winner Skaggs. There will also be a tribute to Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald and former Pops conductor John Williams. Five new programs and five encore presentations are planned. EVENING AT POPS is a joint production of WGBH Boston and the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Inc.
