Retirement apparently doesn't fit longtime NBC personality Jane Pauley, who the network said would host a nationally syndicated talk show in the fall of 2004. NBC Enterprises made the announcement Friday. Pauley said that when she left NBC News she didn't know what she was going to do but that hosting a talk show didn't pop up as an idea at first. "While a daytime talk show is a dramatic departure for me, I'm thrilled that the second phase of my career begins at NBC where the first left off. It's a new world for me in a place that looks pretty much like home. I look forward to a long-running conversation with other women who share many of the same issues and have lots of ideas, too." The Jane Pauley Show will originate from NBC's Studio 8G at Rockefeller Center in New York City.
