Two new TV commercials from Dr. Pepper launch nationally in early January 2003. The brand's themes of originality and individuality set the stage for new creative work for Dr Pepper, while the Diet Dr Pepper Tastes More Like Regular Dr Pepper" campaign gets new, humorous executions. Regular Dr Pepper continues its celebrity-based "Be You" campaign with three contemporary musical artists paying tribute to the trailblazers of their day in a campaign that launches in early January. The spots are produced by Y&R New York. The tribute commercials feature LL Cool J paying homage to hip-hop group RUN DMC. This commercial was filmed prior to the October 30, 2002 murder of group member Jason Mizell (Jam Master Jay).
