$275 Million in Media Billings Changed Hands Last Month

Advertisers shifted $275 million in media accounts in December 2002 and $9.4 billion the whole year, according to the MAP Barometer. Eight advertisers shifted accounts in December, compared to 11 for a combined $377 million in November. The biggest was Kaplan Thaler’s win of the $145 million Capital One account. The other seven were each less than $40 million in billings. By comparison, $2 billion in accounts changed hands in January 2002.
