  • July 25, 2003
Smithsonian magazine has selected Santa Fe, Providence and Portland, Oregon as host cities for its 2003 CultureFest, the magazine's annual road show. Each four-day event features a host of Smithsonian Institution experts and scholars, as well as performances and discussions across a range of disciplines. According to a company press release, The Smithsonian Associates, the Smithsonian Institution's educational outreach arm, is developing programming that resonates within each of the three communities. "Last year's CultureFest was a resounding success, reaching an audience of more than 7.5 million," said Smithsonian magazine publisher Amy Wilkins in the press release. "We looks forward to partnering with The Smithsonian Associates to bring a unique cultural experience to Santa Fe, Providence and Portland." Mastercard is CultureFest's presenting national sponsor.
