SprintNextel and Vespa USA are teaming up to encourage participation in Sprint's eco-intiatives through a contest in which consumers who return their old or unused cell phones will get a chance to win
a Vespa scooter.
The promotion, which will run between June 26 and August 20, will offer people who trade in their phones up to $250 in credit toward the purchase of a new device. Those who
register to win one of the six scooters will also win an eco-friendly Samsung Replenish phone.
In addition to allowing customers to trade their phones at Sprint stores nationwide, the two
companies are embarking on a six-city "Green on the Go" tour at which consumers can trade in their phones and register to win a scooter. The tour begins on July 2 in San Francisco and will travel to
Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago and Boston before ending in New York on Aug. 13.
