TLC's Goes To Family Episodes For Sundays

  • May 7, 2003
TLC's hit series Trading Spaces is moving in on Sunday nights with all-new "family" episodes. The series, which has revolutionized home design, allows friends, family members and neighbors to team up and trade spaces to completely change the room of their choice. The new "family" teams will be comprised of two to four family members with at least one teenager or "tween." Actor Joe Farrell, an Indiana native and Yale graduate, will host the new "family" episodes. Farrell has acted in several stage productions including the national tour of the Broadway musical, "Titanic," and leading roles in regional theater productions "A Little Night Music" and "King of Hearts." A trained singer, Farrell has sung for President George W. Bush and at the inauguration of President Bill Clinton. Popular Trading Spaces designers such as Doug Wilson and Laurie Smith, and others, will be featured in the new Sunday-night episodes. In addition, new designers and carpenters will join the existing Trading Spaces design and carpentry team, and will be featured in new episodes on both Saturday and Sunday nights. New Sunday-night "Family" episodes of the popular series will air during "family hour" Sundays at 7:00 pm., with the premiere airing on Sunday, July 6. "One of the most dramatic questions at the heart of Trading Spaces is 'How well do you know your neighbor?'," said Roger Marmet, general manager, TLC. "Now, we're giving family members a chance to find out how well they work together, and giving viewers the chance to watch their favorite series on both Saturday and Sunday nights.
