Two months after the purchase of Guitar World and its affiliate publications, Future Network USA has acquired Guitar One from Cherry Lane Magazines. According to a company press release, Future Network USA will now have 78% of the gross circulation revenue in the guitar magazine category and 87% of single copy sales (as per ABC and BPA audits, December 2002).

"Our Guitar One acquisition consolidates our interest in this growing enthusiast category," said Future Network USA president Jonathan Simpson-Bint in a press release. "We now 'cover the waterfront' with guitarists across the country, from the rock fan who wants to know what his favorite guitar idols are doing to the guy in his garage who is practicing his licks and building his equipment arsenal."

Guitar One boasts a total circulation of 140,103 (80,795 subscriptions) and carried 947 advertising pages in 2002. Other Future Network USA publications include PC Gamer, Official Xbox Magazine and Maximum PC. The company will launch Mobile PC in January 2004.
