AOL Time Warner announced the appointment of Cleary Simpson, a 24-year veteran of Time Inc., as senior vice president, global marketing solutions, effective immediately. Simpson will be responsible
for developing and implementing cross-platform marketing solutions that take full advantage of all of AOL Time Warner's businesses. In her 24 years at Time Inc., 13 of them at Time magazine, Ms.
Simpson has held a number of key marketing and sales positions, including advertising director for Time from 1978 to 1991 and associate publisher of Life magazine from 1991 to 1992. Since 1998, Ms.
Simpson was executive vice president of Sports Illustrated, responsible for Sports Illustrated Women and Sports Illustrated For Kids.
