TiVo Picks New President

  • April 30, 2003
TiVo announced Wednesday that network TV executive Martin J. Yudkovitz has been named its president.

The 19-year TV veteran had previously been EVP of NBC where he led some of the network's business development efforts and helped create CNBC and MSNBC plus MSNBC.com. TiVo said Yudkovitz would support its aggressive deploying the TiVo service through industry partnerships with satellite and cable companies and other licensing opportunities; providing services to distributors, service providers, programmers and advertisers; and strengthening TiVo's overall position as an entertainment platform.

"TiVo intends to be a major player in the industry - providing compelling services for the TV viewer, networks and satellite and cable service providers. Marty's joining TiVo reinforces our commitment to realizing these goals, and his experience will help to build our business moving forward. His track record in developing creative partnerships that bridge network television with distribution channels like cable and the Internet will be critically important to TiVo," said Mike Ramsay, TiVO's CEO.
