Arbitron RADAR 80 Completes Sample Size Increase

Effective with the March 2004 release, the final phase of the RADAR 80 (RADAR, which stands for Radio's All Dimension Audience Research, is a national radio ratings service that measures audiences to radio commercials) sample size increases has been completed, bringing the sample size to more than 70,000 diarykeepers. Beginning on Apr. 1, Arbitron will begin using Mediaguide's broadcast monitoring technology to verify whether the radio commercials that were scheduled to be aired on affiliated stations of RADAR-rated networks were broadcast as indicated on the network commercial clearance reports. CrystalNet Prestige, Jones MediaAmerica TWC Radio Network and Premiere Urban One Radio Network debut in RADAR 80, bringing the total number of measured networks to 40.
