Falco Named Group President at NBC Television Network

Randy Falco will assume an expanded role at NBC as Group President, NBC Television Network. The announcement was made today by Bob Wright, Chairman & CEO of NBC, to whom he will report. Falco, a 27-year veteran of the company, has served as President of the NBC Network since July 1998. In addition to his current responsibilities, Falco will have oversight of Corporate Business Development, Cable Distribution & Strategy, Production Operations, Information Technology and Six Sigma. Falco will also continue to oversee Sales & Marketing, Broadcast Standards, Research, Network Operations and Affiliate Relations. Falco previously served as President of NBC’s Broadcast and Network Operations division. Named to that position in February 1993, he oversaw the facilities and operations of the NBC Television Network worldwide. Falco was responsible for overseeing the design and creation of the Today show’s “Window on the World” studio, MSNBC’s state-of-the-art broadcast facilities in Secaucus, N.J., and the digital conversion of the NBC Television Network. From June 1986 until September 1991, he served as Vice President of Finance and Administration, NBC Sports. Before that, he held several managerial positions in Finance, Technical Operations and Corporate Strategic Planning after joining NBC in September 1975.
