Arbitron Names First PPM Chief

  • February 12, 2003
Radio ratings company Arbitron has made Linda Dupree its point person for its Portable People Meter, or PPM. Dupree is the first full-time staff member to be assigned to the project, and she will report directly to CEO Steve Morris. “Given the strategic and financial value of the Marketing Panel application of PPM and the different customer base, having Linda concentrate solely on this concept will allow Arbitron to respond more quickly to the challenges and opportunities presented by the marketplace,” said Morris. Most recently, Dupree had been senior VP of Advertiser/Agency Services. Before joining Arbitron in 1990, she held various media positions including planning supervision at Grey Advertising and field marketing management at the Stroh Brewery Company.
