Jason E. Klein has been named president and CEO of the Newspaper National Network. Klein replaces NNN President and General Manager Nicholas Cannistraro Jr., who retired on Dec. 31. Klein's appointment is effective Feb. 24. Klein, 42, is the former president and CEO of Times Mirror Magazines and Time4 Media, publisher of titles including Field & Stream, Golf Magazine, Popular Science, Ski Magazine, This Old House, Yachting, and TransWorld Skateboarding. Time4 Media is now a unit of AOL Time Warner (AOL). Klein is the founder of Healthy Living Media, a publishing company focused on health, wellness, fitness and niche enthusiast areas. He also was formerly a senior engagement manager with McKinsey & Co. in New York, a consultant with Bain and Co. in California, and a vice president of the Times Mirror Co., now owned by Tribune Co. (TRB).
