In a move that may signal a greater emphasis on soft news coverage, The New York Times has named The New York Times Magazine editor Adam Moss to serve as assistant managing editor for features. The
new position puts him in charge of the paper's Culture, Style, Travel, Circuits, Real Estate, Escapes sections, as well as the magazine, the Book Review. A new editor for the magazine is expected to
be named shortly.
