Klipmart Corporation announced last week that they have merged forces with long-time partner DB Associates to continue to bring online video advertising solutions to political campaigns on the
Internet. Klipmart and DB have been working together since January 2001 and met with several successful online political campaigns in the November 2002 elections promoting such campaigns as Matt
Salmon for Governor and Jan Brewer for Arizona Secretary of State, the latter featuring audio endorsements from Senator John McCain. The union is a logical progression for Klipmart, company officials
say, as DB will face-off on political advertising sales for Klipmart and Klipmart will continue to focus on video ad deployment for the political marketplace. The relationship is a complement to
Klipmart's services and will provide a much fuller breadth for Klipmart political and advocacy clients given DB's year's of expertise in the marketplace and clear understanding of political campaigns.
Both companies hope the relationship will change the landscape of political marketing. The ability to play Klipmart's recomposed TV quality and audio political ads to a growing online constituency and
db's strategic and tactical implementation metrics for online media planning and buying is the new technical evolution in this wide open market.
