PRIMEDIA's Consumer Automotive Group has debuted Trip Planner, an online travel tool, on the web sites of its Motor Trend and Automobile Magazine properties. The feature allows travelers to factor
everything from dining to rest stops into their itineraries. "What sets this planner apart from the rest is that the main focus is not so much how to get from point A to point B, but rather what's
between point A and B," said Motor Trend online editorial director Jeff Bartlett in a press release. Trip Planner could also be useful as a potential advertising channel for restaurants, hotels,
cultural/historic sites and amusements, he added.
