An Old Navy spot topped the newest Intermedia Advertising Group survey of the most effective new ads on TV by brand recall. Old Navy captured the number one spot for the week ended Aug. 31 for its
15-second "Cargo Train" commercial, followed by 10-10-987, which secured the second spot for its John Stamos ad. Heineken, Payless and Burger King each landed multiple slots on the chart. Country
Crock and Capital One rounded out the list. In commercial likeability, which is also measured by the IAG survey, MasterCard's latest iteration of the "Priceless" campaign landed first with a spot
on exploring Rome and trekking Spain. Verizon Wireless' "Push to Talk" campaign was second, followed by Vioxx, Sears and 989 Sports' NFL GameDay 2004 rounded out the top five. Heineken, continuing
with its brand recall success, secured the eighth and ninth spots for its convenience store ads.
