CNET Launches Personal Tech Radar

  • October 1, 2003
CNET yesterday announced the debut of "CNET Personal Tech Radar." Personal Tech Radar is a research initiative that combines a monthly survey of CNET's active shoppers with site behavioral data. The Personal Tech Radar results provide compelling insight into shoppers' real-life product interests and buying motivations. The most interesting observations will be highlighted weekly on CNET and the new CNET Digital Living site, whereas deeper findings on buying preferences by age, gender, lifestyle, and other parameters will inform CNET editorial development. "The process of choosing the right digital products for your personal needs can be challenging for today's consumers," said Shelby Bonnie, CEO of CNET Networks. "Thousands of cutting-edge products are available, but consumers need to figure out which ones will benefit their lifestyles and whether the products will be compatible with their other technologies. By combining Personal Tech Radar results with its expert editorial content, CNET is setting a new standard in helping consumers arrive at the right buying decisions."
