All The News Fit For A Brit - NYT Taps BBC's Thompson As New Chief

The New York Times Co. Tuesday named BBC Director-General Mark Thompson president-CEO. Thompson, who becomes a member of the NYT's board, will report to the board and to Chairman Arthur Sulzberger Jr. He fills the spot vacated by Janet Robinson, who stepped down in May.
