Ever the contrarian, ad forecaster Jack Myers Tuesday issued an updated 2003 ad spending outlook indicating a "slight upturn in media revenues compared to estimates issued earlier in the year."
Myers said his upward revision comes amid other downward revisions. "Compared to my forecasts issued last May, full year outlook for eleven major media is being upgraded to 3.5 percent growth from
a slightly lower growth rate of 3.1 percent," said Myers.
