RealNetworks, Inc. and America Online, Inc. are working together to extend the use of RealNetworks' media technologies in the release of AOL 9.0 Optimized, the latest version of the AOL and AOL for
Broadband services. AOL will also include enhanced support for RealNeworks' media technologies with AOL for Mac OS X. In addition, AOL has begun to deploy RealNetworks' Helix Universal Servers as part
of its streaming infrastructure. The integration of RealNetworks technologies will enable AOL members to take advantage of RealVideo and RealAudio content available on AOL and on the Web with the best
possible playback experience, company officials say.
