Two of the advertising and media industry's best-known editors have joined MediaPost Communications to lead its coverage of the traditional and interactive media marketplace.
Joe Mandese has
joined as editor-in-chief and will oversee operations of all MediaPost properties, including MediaDailyNews, MEDIA magazine and a variety of media industry newsletters. Steve Yahn has joined as
executive editor and will focus on enhancing daily interactive media and marketing news coverage, as well as MEDIA magazine.

team to take MediaPost to the next level. We've already proven the advertising marketplace - especially the interactive marketing side - is underserved and hungry for news that makes their business
move," said Ken Fadner, CEO and founder of MediaPost, which currently reaches more than 35,000 subscribers involved in media planning and buying.
The appointment represents two important
reunions for Mandese, who began his career as part of the start-up team, led by Fadner that created Adweek. Later, as media editor of Advertising Age, he worked with Yahn. Most recently, Mandese
was executive editor for Primedia's Business Magazines and Media division, where he led the ad industry coverage for American Demographics, Cable World, Folio: and a variety of media industry
newsletters. Prior to that, he oversaw advertising news for Brill Media Holdings, including Inside.com.

Most recently, Yahn served as a principal of The Dilenschneider Group, where he
developed custom publishing initiatives and marketing communications programs for a variety of top marketers. Prior to that, he was executive editor of Editor & Publisher, the bible of the newspaper
industry. Before that, Yahn served as editor of Advertising Age, leading a staff of more than 70 people as head of Advertising Age, Advertising Age International and Creativity, as well as an array
of advertorials and special commemorative issues.
