Boston Globe Ad Chief DeSisto Leaving For Maine, Named CEO/Publisher Of MTM

Long-time Boston Globe exec Lisa DeSisto is relocating to Portland, Me, to become CEO of MaineToday Media (MTM) and publisher of The Portland Press Herald, Kennebec JournalMorning Sentinel,MaineToday.comThe Coastal Journal, and Maine Sunday Telegram.

DeSisto, who was recruited following an extensive national search, had been Chief Advertising Officer for Boston Globe Media, as well as general manager of Boston.com. No successor had been named at presstime.

DeSisto, who had  been with the Boston Globe for 17 years, rising through the ranks from a role in marketing management at Boston.com in 1995, will be relocate from Wakefield, MA to the Portland area this fall.

Her husband, Tim Padgett, a long-time Boston-area digital media executive who currently is digital sales manager at WCVB-TV, will relocate along with her, and their son.
