Starbucks Moves Into Smaller Chinese Cities

"We can't update that board!" said Starbucks’ China chief marketing officer, Marie Han Silloway, referring to an ongoing tally of Starbucks outlets opening in China. The Seattle-based company has been in China for 13 years, with an initial presence largely in major international hubs such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Now it is expanding into smaller cities with newly robust discretionary spending.
