Primedia Partners With IMS And Other News

Primedia announced Wednesday that it had commissioned Inquiry Management Systems (IMS) to track advertising pages across hundreds of the company's enthusiast titles, such as Snowboarder and Surfer, as well as their competitors. This will allow Primedia to comprehensively evaluate advertising pages and market share information against competitive properties in its enthusiast categories using a third-party tracking service, in most cases for the first time.

According to Primedia, the Publisher's Information Bureau, the industry standard for tracking print ad spending, currently measures only five of Primedia's 120 enthusiast titles.

In other news, Primedia announced on Wednesday an agreement with wireless media provider Mobliss to bring graphics from Primedia's action sports titles, such as Surfer and Skateboarder, to wireless devices.
