Facebook has asked media to come to its headquarters for a big Jan. 15 announcement. And that's about it. Press is going to town, with people speculating that it may be a smartphone, that it is shutting down, restricting text, offering a branded tablet or laptop, even a William Gibson-esque plug-in for your brain.
