J. Scott Omelianuk was named editor of This Old House magazine Tuesday, effective September 7. Omelianuk, who succeeds David Sloan, is the former executive editor of Esquire, an editor at GQ, and has written several books on style. More recently he scripted and hosted a program for Cablevision, was a contributor to Details magazine, and has been consulting with Meredith on the repositioning of one of its titles.

This appointment comes as This Old House Ventures marks its 25th anniversary.

The company also announced that "FIND!," its critically-acclaimed PBS collector series has been officially renewed for a second season. A special print edition of FIND! will be available on stands beginning September 6, serving as a one-time-only collector's edition.

Also at This Old House Ventures, Alexa Hampton has been named senior design consultant for the company's print, Internet, and broadcast outlets.
