Allbritton Communications plans to sell its TV stations, which include ABC affiliates WJLA Channel 7 and NewsChannel 8 in the Washington D.C. market, along with stations in Birmingham, Ala.;
Harrisburg, Pa.; Little Rock, Ark., Tulsa Okla., Lynchburg, Va.; and Charleston, S.C. The company, which also owns Politico, plans to invest heavily in it "and other new media companies in the coming
months," writes Jeff Clabaugh.
